Ramanand has been a leading Iyengar Yoga Instructor
around the world since 1968. He trained many of the teachers who conduct the teacher training programs at the Iyengar Institute of San Francisco as well many other international venues. Some of these teachers have gone on to become internationally well known. He regards his father, Shri BKS Iyengar, Swami Dayananda, and J. Krishnamurti as his sources of guiding light. His deep knowledge regarding challenging physical issues, technical knowledge of asana, pranayama, and a grasp of the fundamental questions of philosophy and psychology are mixed with a keen sense of humor, to make his classes thought provoking and challenging in all the aspects of yoga. He is an innovator in the use of props and working with students with special needs. He has been coming to teach in Austin for over twenty years. Please join us to welcome him back!
