It Takes a Village Take Two; Free yoga For Mock Assessments March 4.

-->
Hi Austin Yogis and Yoginis,

Anne  is planning to do  Junior  2  this upcoming assessment season and Devon is planning to do  Junior 3 in the not to distant future.   Deb  Johnson is a student of  Peggy’s visiting from South Carolina.  She’ll be in  town the  first week of  March  so    we thought it would be  a great time to  do  the first of several mock assessments.

We’ll use the Friday  advanced practice time  with an earlier  start time and a slightly later ending time

The classes are free.  You can sign up for 1, 2 or  3  sessions.

Let  Anne know at  Anne_marie_Schultz@baylor.edu  which  sessions you’d like to attend.

You do not have to be injury free. In fact, at this level, we know we’ll have students with injuries  or  with conditions like menstruation or pregnancy.   We  could use   6 or 8 students in each session,

Friday   March  4

3:45-4:35   Anne
4:45-5:35   Devon
5:45-6:35    Deb

We'll switch the location monthly, but it will be somewhere close to the studio.   Let Mary  know if you'd like to come to dinner so we know how many tables to try to commander.

A New Approach to Friday Practices

Hi All,

We've decided that  with so many other great  teachers in Austin that it would be in everyone's best interest to  expand the roster of  people who lead  advanced practice.  From now on, expect a variety of Austin's Certified Iyengar Teachers to lead on Fridays.

Here's the schedule for the next few weeks.

2/5-: Mary
2/12 Mary
2/19- Devon
2/26 Melissa
3/4- Anne
3/11- Devon
Rumor is  Mary will lead us in a Schumacher  arm balancing sequence
Anne will probably do something that integrates  things she has learned from Laurie and Manouso on the shoulders.  (Inversion and backbend focused)
