Here's the info about the class

We are delighted to honor and help our old friend and most senior Iyengar teacher in this part of the world, El Tortuga Grande, aka George Purvis, Texas’s own Free Range Yogi. This is a fundraising effort to contribute to George’s medical bills.

A group of George’s Austin students (Peggy Kelley, Devon Deterich, Anne Schultz, Emilie Rogers, Esta Herold, Jonathan Troen, Mary Scott, & Jason Lobo) will lead a class in honor of George, perhaps in the style of George, and heading toward one of George’s favorite poses. This class will be for all levels of students, and while we will work our way to some difficult poses, there will always be something helpful for everyone at any level to do.

Suggested Donation: $40 (but anything at all will be happily received.) If you write a check, please make it out to George Purvis, not to any of us.

100% of the proceeds will be forwarded to George to help defray his many medical bills.
